Independent Companion Services Agreement

This Independent Companion Services Agreement sets out the standards for a person providing companionship opportunities coordinated by Just Company. Just Company remains the customer-facing service provider and manages requests, bookings, payment, safety procedures and customer communication.

1. Scope of companionship

The Independent Companion may provide conversation, shared time, supported walks, café visits, reading, games, hobbies, cultural activities and other approved non-medical companionship. The Independent Companion must follow the booking brief and may decline an opportunity without penalty.

2. Services that are not included

The Independent Companion must not provide nursing, medical advice, diagnosis, medication administration, bathing, toileting, dressing, lifting or transfers, wound care, emergency response, private transportation, romantic or sexual services, alcohol sessions or unsupervised private-home visits at launch.

3. Locations and travel

Sessions take place in approved public community locations or approved facilities. The Independent Companion must not change the agreed location without Just Company approval. Travel outside the agreed service area must be reviewed in advance. Approved expenses are recorded against the booking and must not be incurred without approval.

4. Safety briefing and check-in

The Independent Companion must check in when arriving and check out when leaving through the method Just Company provides. A safety word or emergency phrase will be provided before the session. The Independent Companion may use it to indicate that they feel unsafe or need help. The Independent Companion may leave immediately if they feel unsafe and must notify Just Company as soon as reasonably safe. Failure to remain for a session because of a genuine safety concern will not be treated as misconduct.

5. Transport and alcohol

The customer does not provide transportation for the Independent Companion, and the Independent Companion must not transport the customer in a private vehicle unless a separate written safety arrangement has been approved. No alcohol sessions are permitted. The Independent Companion may refuse or leave an activity that involves alcohol, unsafe conduct or an unapproved location.

4. Payment

The standard companion rate is TT$55 per completed companionship hour, subject to the confirmed booking. Payment is made after the session is completed and the required check-in/check-out information is received, unless a written exception is approved. Approved expenses are handled separately. No companion may request payment directly from a customer.

5. Booking acceptance and communication

Opportunities are offered privately through Just Company’s approved communication channels. The Independent Companion may accept or decline. Customer contact details and personal information must not be used outside the booking. Communication should remain through Just Company unless direct contact is specifically approved.

6. Safety and conduct

• Maintain professional, respectful and non-discriminatory conduct.
• Do not work while intoxicated, impaired or unable to provide safe companionship.
• Follow check-in, check-out and emergency escalation procedures.
• Report safeguarding concerns, accidents, threats, harassment or boundary violations immediately.
• Do not invite a customer to a private residence or take a customer to an unapproved location.

8. Personal information and contact boundaries

The Independent Companion must not reveal or exchange their personal phone number, home address, private routine, financial details or other personal information with a customer unless Just Company has specifically approved it. If a companion voluntarily discloses personal information outside the agreed process, Just Company cannot guarantee or accept responsibility for harassment or contact that occurs outside the approved service communication. Any concern should still be reported immediately so Just Company can record, review and take appropriate action.

9. Privacy and confidentiality

Customer identities, verification files, health-related information, emergency details, addresses and personal circumstances are confidential. The Independent Companion may receive only the information necessary for the approved booking and must not copy, publish, forward or retain it after the booking.

8. Photos and introductions

A profile photo or introduction may be shared with a customer only with the Independent Companion’s consent and only for an approved booking. Government ID, screening documents and private records are never shared with customers.

9. Cancellations and incidents

The Independent Companion must notify Just Company as early as possible if they cannot attend. A companion must not abandon a customer during a session except where immediate safety requires leaving. Incidents must be reported promptly and the Independent Companion must cooperate with a review.

10. Ending participation

Either party may end participation by written notice. Just Company may suspend or remove a companion immediately where there is a safety concern, serious breach, dishonesty, harassment, confidentiality breach or failure to meet screening requirements.

11. Acknowledgement

By signing, the Independent Companion confirms that they have read this agreement, understand the service boundaries, consent to screening and understand that each opportunity must be accepted through Just Company.
